My Review:
This book introduces sixteen-year-old Dana Hathaway, who lives with her alcoholic single mother.. With a great voice and a very absent father who she knows nothing about except that he lives in Avalon. The only place on earth where the regular, everyday world and the captivating magical world of Faerie intersect. And also where her mother fled from, for reasons that seem to change every time Dana asks about him. But when Dana finally gets fed up with trying to handle the embarrassments and messes her mother keeps making for her, Dana decides to runaway and go to Avalon to find her father, figuring that it couldn't be any worse then her life staying with her mom. But the moment she sets foot in Avalon, everything starts to change for her. Big time... She is thrown into the middle of these faerie politics, and someone is out to get her... Not knowing who or what is after her... And if that isn't bad enough... She is thrown into a cell by her aunt, saved by two teenagers, almost kill by monsters, falling in love with a faerie, and finds out she not just any ordinary teenage girl.. But a Faeriewalker... A rare individual who can travel to both worlds, bring magic into the human world and technology into the Faerie world.. What she finds in Avalon is not quite what she expected, but instead leads her though a crazy adventure.. Not knowing who to trust, and where everyone is out to use her for their own ends.. In the end.. Dana would discover that Avalon will feel more at home, then anywhere else....
My Thoughts:
-This book was so amazing. I really enjoyed the whole new story on Faeries, it was so cool and very interesting to read.. I also like how Dana was thrown into this crazy wild adventure and this other side of herself she never know about. Like her powers to be able to walk to both worlds.. That was so cool...
-Now the characters... The characters in this book were very interesting, and very cool.. I love Dana character, she was so up to beat, strong, and a very brave character.. Which made me really enjoy her.. I also enjoy Dana's bodyguard Finn, Dana's father, and Ethan the faerie that she falls in love with...
-I also fell in love with the plot. Which was so unbelievable, magical, and filled with so many twist and turns around every corner... So this book is very good and I can't wait to read the second book Shadowspell..
-And I give this book 5/5 stars..
