My Review:
For sixteen year old Evie, the only place she has ever know. Is the International Paranormal Containment Agency and has called it her home. Possessing the unique ability to see though all paranormal "glamours" and bags, tags, and helps IPCA track and contain a variety of familiar creatures. Despite her unconventional life with no origin story, a mermaid for a best friend, and werwolf colleagues, etc.... She has always considers herself to be pretty normal. Until she meets Lend.. A young boy who can shape-shift breaks into IPCA looking for answers and ironically becomes one of the Agency's latest puzzles. But when things start to change and turn bad at the Agency and around the world. Like paranormals are mysteriously turning up dead. Evie discovers some startling truths about her abilties and her own identity. Which forces Evie to face surprising revelations about IPCA and herself, while Evie's dreams are filed with haunting voices and mysterious prophecies. And there just might be a link between her abilities and the sudden rash of deaths. Not only that, she may very well be in at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures..
I guess so much for normal......
My Thoughts:
-This book was so unique and different. I really enjoyed how there was so many different paranormal creatures, ones I'm so familiar with and others were completely new to me.. And when I found out the truths behind Evie's powers, they surprise me big time...
-The characters in this book were very interesting to read and each one were all very unique, funny and enjoyable. Evie was so funny and her powers were so neat, being able to see what paranormal creatures really look like... Wow.... He mermaid friend was so.... funny. I laugh so hard when ever her character show up in the book. And of course Lend. He was also very cool, his power were so unique, new and different from any shape-shiftier books I have ever read so far. I also enjoyed Eve and Lend's relationship with one another...
-Lets not forget the Plot in this book. Lets just say... it was mind blowing and surprisedly good.. With so many twist and turns and filled with untold secrets around every corner, this was an unreal book. With that all said, Paranormalcy by. Kiersten White was amazing read and very enjoyable. I can't wait to read the second book Supernatually when it comes out this fall, to see where Eve's story goes from there...
-And I give this book 5/5 stars
