My Review:
"Eve" induces a girl name Eve, who is one of many young girls that survive the plague. At the age of five Eve was brought to a school with other survivors to be protected and safe... In the year 2015, a terrible plague wiped out half of the United States and only a few survive. That was 12 years ago.. Now seventeen, Eve and her friend Pip are excited for their new lives after they graduation from their all girls school. But the night before Eve's graduation, she discovers the truth of what really happens to graduates and the horrifying fate that awaits her...
So fleeing the only place she has ever called home and leaving her dear friend Pip without no other choice... Eve sets off on a long and treacherous journey, searching for a place to survive.. With the help of one girl name Arden who was called the trouble girl, different, and knew some things that the other girls didn't. Along the way she encounters Caleb, a rough, rebellious boy who lives in the wild.. Separated from men her whole life, Eve was taught to fear them, that their manipulative, conniving and dangerous.... That only the King can be trusted and obeyed.. A man that was put in charge after the plague to help keep people safe. As the more Eve discovers, she sees that everything that the King was saying and to bring pace was a lie.. But as days turn into weeks, Caleb slowly wins Eve's trust... and her heart... When soldiers begin hunting them, Eve must make a choose between true love and her life....
My Thoughts:
-Eve is the first book of a new series coming out this fall. On October 4th 2011.. And I was lucking enough to receive a ARC of Eve, to review.. And couldn't wait to read it.. Eve was a huge page turner book, that kept you wanting more and more... And kept you guessing until the end.. And the characters- Wow... I really enjoy the characters in this book, they were amazing..
-(Pip) Eve's friend was a loyal character and a good friend. And help Eve though a lot, when she was growing up..
-(Arden) Wow... She was a surprising... I would never of thought that she would have such a heart and be so loyal toward eve though their tough journey together..
-(Caleb) Oh dear Caleb.. He was a dreaming, and amazing character. I really enjoyed how even though that Eve made some wrong choices that he was still there for her...
-(Eve) Eve was another surprising character. That went though so much and so fast... And what she had to do go though to survive.. She was a strong character that stood up for what she believe in, and along the way found love and hope, that she has lost and forgot, after losing her mother in the plague...
-I also enjoy the plot in this book too.. It was scary, frighting, and beautiful all at the same time... Which was so cool..
And it also felt so real, like I was actually there with Eve and the gang... So yeah I really enjoy this book.. It made me smile, laugh and cry.. And I can't wait to buy my own copy, and read the second book "Once", to see what happens to Eve on her next adventure....
And I give this book 5/5 stars...
