My Review:
After going to foster home to the next.. Ari can’t help feeling lost and alone. With her teal eyes and freakish silver hair that can’t be changed or destroyed, Ari has always stood out. And after growing up in foster care for sixteen years. Ari knows that it's time to get some answers to where she came from and who she is...
Her search leads her to New Orleans to where her dead mother Eleni used to grew up.. But when she gets there.. Ari uncovers a box with just one message in it from her mother... Run and stay away from New 2, the lush rebuilt city of New Orleans... But why would her mother say that though? At the same time a mysterious man, with a weird looking sword and talks in a language she does understand tries to kill her.. But dies in her arms, while disappearing like mist right before her eyes.. Right there... she knows that something is going on and Ari just needs to figure out what..
She does know one thing for sure.. To get her answers she needs, Ari will have to going though the city of New 2 to do so... Upon arriving, she discovers that New 2 is very...different... And more then she ever imagent.. There she also makes friends who might just be weirder and just as stange as her.. While also mayble falling in love, with the mysterious young light hair boy Sebastian, who has a few secrets of his own... But.. She will soon discover that for some realize every creature she encounters, no matter how deadly or horrifying.. is afraid of her. But why??
Ari won’t stop until she knows why. But some truths are too haunting, too terrifying, to ever be revealed...
My Thoughts:
-This book was very darker, from what I've read in the past.. It's very different in many ways and was sooo cool.. I really enjoyed the mythology that the author put into Darkness Becomes Her.. Because it was very interesting and unique..
-Oh and the characters... They were all so interesting, cool and some very funny... Which was what I reaaly enjoyed about them...
-Like Ari for an sample.. Her past was so mysterious and interesting to read about.. While trying her best to uncover her mother's past, so she can be able to figure out where she comes from and who she really is... And I was very shock when it's uncover who she really is.. I didn't see that coming at all....
-And the mysterious Sebastian.. He was also very interesting and very enjoyble to read about.. When his scenes show up.. I enjoy them very much.. You can get very swoon over him when he does show up... Which was find by me.. lol.. Anyways, he was a very cool character to learn about..
-I also enjoyed the friends she meets too.. They were very interesting and funny too. Like this little girl Violet, who has an a for a pet and always wearing these beauiful masks over her face.. I also really enjoyed how Sebastian and her other friends were always there for her and would even put there own lifes in danger if it means to protect Ari..
-So in other words this book was amazing and very interesing to read.. I can't wait to get my hands onthe second book A Beautiful Evil when I gett the chance, to see where Ari's adventure leads her next...
-And I give this book 5/5 stars...
