My Review:

For Haven Terra.. She has always been called the  brainy, shy, outcast, kind of girl.. But that all changes on her sixteenth birthday... When she gets a prestigious internship to the big city of Chicago.. Along with a couple of her classmates too.. Like her funny best friend Dante and the mysterious brilliant Lance.. They are sent there to live and work at a swanky and stylish hotel Lexington and is under the watchful eyes of the  powerful alluring hotel owner Aurelia Brown, the dashing, mysterious, Lucian Grove... Her second in command... And the stunning but aloof staff of glamazons called The Outfit....

But when she gets there nothing is as it seems.. Everyone there at the hotel, is shockingly gorgeous and young looking and acting  very strange.. As Haven's time with the mysterious Lucian turns unto something more... That she might be falling for him.. She learns that their might be more to these beautiful people then meets the eye... And her only help is a book with more riddles to a mystery she quilt doesn't understand yet...

As she digs deeper unto the mystery of the hotel and the people that work there, she will uncover a network of secret passageways from the hotel’s jazz age past. That will lead Haven to the heart of Aurelia and company's evil plans.. Will they succeed in wooing Haven to join them in their recruitment efforts, or will she be able to stop them and their devilish plans to take the souls of her classmates in time?

My Thoughts:

-This book is amazing.. I really enjoy the mystery that Illuminate had, while Haven is trying to figure out what is going on.. The dark edge that it had too was very different and interesing to read about.. I was at the edge of my seat wondering what the mystery behind the hotel had and was shocked when it was discovered...

-The charcters were very interesting to read about.. Like Haven for example.. She had a past that she does not know about, until when she turns sixteen and goes to the Lexington hotel.. That is where her past starts to slowly be uncovered piece by piece...

-I also enjoy her best Dante.. He was so funny at times though out the book, he always put a smile on to my face.. But the mysterious brilliant Lance.. He was a little hard to understand his character a bit.. He was a big mystery... I had the same feeling for Lucian too.. He was even an bigger puzzle.. To a much bigger mystery... But I did enjoy his realationship with Haven, they were both part of an even bigger puzzle to uncover..

-So to put it into words.. Illuminated was a very interesting, enjoyble book and  also very different in many ways.. So if you enjoy big mysteries that shock you, and twist and turns around every corner.. You will really enjoy Illuminate by. Aimee Agresti...  And I can't wait to read the second book when it comes out next year..

-And I give this book 5/5 stars..
