My Review:
Though the ruins once known as North America lies the nation of Panem... Now ruled by the shining city called the Capitol and surrounded by twelve outlying districts. To keep peace, hope and keep the people in each district in line.. The Capitol forces each district to send one boy and girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen... To participate in a special annual game called the "Hunger Games".. To fight to the death on live TV...
In district twelve.. A sixteen-year-old girl name Katniss Everdeen, who's good with a bow.. Tries to help her mother and sister Prim the best she can... But when her sister's name is chosen for the games... Katniss steeps forward and volunteer to take her place in the Games.... So being close to dead before... Survival has been second nature to her... And if she wins.. Katniss will have to start making hard choices, between survival, humanity and love, which will all come with a price... That she is willing to fight for...
My Thoughts:
-Oh... My... Gosh.... I have no words of how amazing this book was.. I have heard amazing things about The Hunger Game from bloggers for past the three years.. And they were right... I fell in love with the writing, the story line, the action, and the characters, everything.... It was a type a book that I just... could stop thinking about, even for a second and had me on the edge of my seat wondering what will happen next... I haven't had a book like that in a long time...
-And the other thing I enjoyed in The Hunger Games was the characters.. Like Katniss for sample...
-She is so strong, brave and kick ass and has her way with a bow.. While taking care of her mother and sister after her father died.. I also like how she stood up for her sister and took her place in the Games.. I thought that was so brave of Katniss... And also when she got to Capitol to get interviews, and all beauty up before the Games was so interesting.. Like her being a different person in a strange place and eating foods that she never had before, then being more of herself when she gets to Games... While also keeping her promise to her sister that she will win...
-I also enjoyed Peeta's character too.. He was so funny, kind, cute, and very strong... I really enjoy his relationship with Katniss and there past with one another, it was very interesting... I like to see more of that in the second book...
-So with that all said.. I really enjoyed The Hunger Games and I'm so excited for movie premiere tomorrow... Can't wait..
-And I give this book 5/5 stars...
And...
MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR...
