Who is Mara Dyer?

When sixteen year old Mara wakes up in a hospital bed with no memory how she got there, or even who she is. Suddenly she is dropped into a life that just doesn't feel right. Mara soon discovers that she is the sole survivor of a horrible accident that claims the lives of her three closest friends. She is devastated by the loss and suffers a serious case of PSD as a result. Mara thinks that it might be best to move, to try to get her mind off of the accident... So Mara, her mother, her father and two brothers leave the quiet town in Rhode Island, to live in busy hot Miami, Florida...
So starting fresh, Mara goes to her new school in hope that she can cope.. While there she meets a new friend name Jamie Roth and also a young boy name Noah Shaw, who makes Mara angry as heck but also makes her smile... And his girlfriend Anna, makes Mara her next target.... But drama isn't the only worse thing for Mara, she is also starting to see things that are not there... Like visions of her dead friends.. Thinking that she has gone mad... She starts to open up to Noah, while learning more about him and that he has a few secrets of his own.. But at the same time she is falling in love with him... So together they will try to uncover the truth of what is really going on with her... Before something goes wrong again, and someone ends up dead...
My Thoughts:
-Oh my... Gosh! How can I explain this book, without giving too much away.. Hmm.. Lets start with saying that this book was amazing, and surprise me big time.. With the mystery and suspense around every corner. And the crazy things that went on though-out this book, had me hook on page one until the end.. Which had me wondering what will happen next in book two..
-And the characters in this book, were so interesting to read... I really enjoyed all of them.. Each of them were very unique in there own ways. There was Mara's overprotective mother. Who is devastated by the changes in Mara's behavior. And her funny and cool big brother who is one of Mara's biggest protectors. To the mean girl at school who is so mean and nasty toward Mara, that you can't help but hate her. And last but not least... Noah! Who is crazy about Mara the moment they meet...
-So who is Mara Dyer... You may ask? Well, I'm not telling.... You will have to find out for yourself.. But I will say that she was damaged, and just wanted to be a normal girl while trying to find out what is going on with herself.. That was a aspect that I absolutely loved about her. I also enjoy her sense of humor and her trying her best to be brave, with all the crazy things going on around her... Mara Dyer is a mystery you will want to figure out. You will love her!
-So that's all I can say about The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, with out giving away too much... And I can't wait to see what happens next to Mara and Noah in book two..
-And I give this book 5/5 stars...
