My Review:
The story starts, by telling readers about Jessie or Jessie for short, who live on a small farm with her dad and little sister Annabelle Lee. Her job around the farm is to take care of he horses. Because,  you find out  that her mother use to be a horse trainer and was training the horses to compete. But her mother die in a car accident  before she could finish,  and because Jessie was there when it happen. She kind of blames herself for what happen and wish she could of done something. So when ever anyone says or bring up anything about her mother, she gets sad or uncombable.

As the story goes along  you find out that she is journalist at her school and is researching a paper on the mysterious Phantom Wolf in a  small Russia town that  has been seeing strange and  mysterious activities  happening there. Like deaths and weird sighting of big wolfs. But that's not the only weird thing, it gets stranger when a young boy name Pietr and his family arrive at her town  and come form the same small Russia town she is researching from.  So she takes the opportunity to write a story on them and find out more about them. Even though Pietr is being difficult and being a jerk to her, but she knows that he and his family are hiding something from her and she wants to find out what... That's when strange things begin to happen around her town, and the growing feeling toward Pietr and she doesn't know what to do. Because she still has feeling for a huge big star football player at her school named  Derek. Who she had a crush on for two years. And Jessie also discovers  the truth about who, and what, Pietr and his family really are...

My Thoughts:

-I really enjoyed this book. It had it all.. Good plot, well deploy characters, and a amazing story line. I love how Shannon hook me on page one, and  was filled with twist and turns, that kept me wanting to read more and more, just to see what happens next..

-I also enjoyed the characters in this book too... With the mysterious Pietr and his family full of  secrets, to cursory farm girl Jessie, and the growing relationship that Jessie has with Piertr was very sweet. The other thing I enjoyed, was how their love toward each other wasn't rush and they took their time to get to know about one another.....

-So yeah... that is my review for 13 to Life and  I diffidently recommend this book for you  guys.. And I can't wait to read the second book Secrets and Shadows.

-And I give this book 5/5 stars..
