My Review:
This story is about a seventeen year old girl name Lily. Who might look like any ordinary teenage girl. But you see, Lily isn't ordinary at all, she's not even human. Well, half human. She is also a mermaid princess of a ocean kingdom called Thalassinia. She lives on land with her aunt, and attends as a human at Seaview High where no one knows her real identity. Lily is there to find a mate before her eighteenth birthday in order to inherit the throne. She has had her fins set on one boy for a while now, he is the champion swimmer at her school and goes by the name of Brody. With one single kiss, it will turn him into a mermaid, and they will swim off into the sunset and he will rule by her side. But her fantasy is cut short when her obnoxious, bossey, bad-boy biker neighbor Quince. He has sworn to help her to win Brody over and maybe finely kiss him. She accidentally kissed Quince instead by mistake. With a surprise kiss from the wrong boy, Lily is lead into a tidal wave of unexpected consequences. But before long, Lily will learn and realize  the truth, of which boy truly  loves her, with tail and all.....

My Thoughts:
- This book was so cool. I really enjoyed how Tera Lynn created such a unique and unbelievable  underwater world like Thalassinia. The elements and mythology she put into it with a touch of magic, was breathtaking... I also liked how she set it,  not only in Thalassinia but also on land. Where Lily lived most her life when she’s not with her father in Thalassinia.
-I also enjoyed the characters in this book too. But I do admit that Lily did get annoying at times, when she made dumb choices. Like when she never gave Quince a chance until it was too late, but it did make her think what real love is, and the meaning behind it.. Beside that, she was an okay character, and I got swept up between the romance with Lily and Quince too. It was so funny how perfect they were for each other, even though they were completely opposites.
- And I also love the plot in this book too. It was one that kept you guessing and wondering what will happen next. Like... Will Lily and Quince be together? And what about Brody? Would he be good for Lily or is just a bad apple on in the inside? And was Lily’s brat cousin more evil on the inside than she knew? Only time will tell....
-But this book was like chocolate, it has a sweet tang taste in the  outside, but blows you away with a taste surprising and unique in the inside. That is what this book had, with twist and turns and full of surprise... So yeah very good book, and looking forward to reading the second book Fins are Forever, when it comes out this summer...

- And I give this book 4/5 stars..
